Vosne Romanee Au Cros Parantoux Meo Camuzet 2006
Vosne Romanee Au Cros Parantoux Meo Camuzet 2006 is a dry, medium-bodied red from Pinot Noir (Vosne-Romanee, France), in the medium, savoury reds style. Tannins are moderate and acidity fresh; oak influence is some. Those scales describe the wine when young; this is a 20-year-old bottle and its tannin and oak will have softened. Good with duck, salmon, roast chicken, bolognese.

Founded at the turn of the 20th century, Méo-Camuzet produces some of the most sought-after wines from the Côte d`Or. The Domaine boasts 14 hectares of land in some of the most prestigious appellations and crus in Burgundy. Since 1989, the estate has been overseen by Jean-Nicolas Méo, who also looks after Nicolas-Jay estate in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. This cuvée is made from a 0.3-hectare parcel in Cros Parantoux, a highly regarded premier cru in Vosne-Romanée. The vineyard, known for its low yields, contributes to the intricate structure and depth of this wine, it is filled with red fruits and complemented by notes of rose petals, herbs and a touch of savoury spice.
