Château d`Yquem 2008 is a noble sweet wine from the Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux. Château d`Yquem is the sole Premier Cru Supérieur and is generally regarded as the world`s greatest sweet wine. This bottling presents a complex bouquet of dried apricot, marmalade and saffron, with nuances of honey and tropical fruit. The palate is rich and unctuous yet balanced by a razor-sharp acidity that provides great tension. The smaller half-bottle format allows for a slightly accelerated maturation, showcasing a more developed character earlier in its life.
