The 2023 Aubert UV-SL Vineyard Chardonnay is a single-vineyard white wine from the far western Sonoma Coast. This bottling is named for the late vineyard manager Ulises Valdez Senior, with SL referring to Stoetz Lane. Located only six miles from the Pacific Ocean, the vineyard benefits from strong maritime influence. The medium to full-bodied wine is characterised by a silky texture and vibrant freshness. It offers notes of pink grapefruit, fresh pineapple, peaches, Marcona almonds, wet slate and white pepper. Aubert ferments this wine with native yeasts and bottles it unfined and unfiltered, reflecting a commitment to minimal intervention.
