Merchant's description

Throughout its remarkably long history on the island, the Blandy family winery has played a leading role in the development of Madeira wine and continues to maintain a tradition of fine wine production that dates back two centuries. This 30YO blend has been created from a selection of the very best Bual vintages of the last 5 decades, and has an average of 32 years of aging. Season in 650 litre American Oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system, until blending, the final blend is then stabilised in cask for a further 6 months before bottling. This results in a luscious rich wine with notes of citrus peel and baked fruit, underpinned by pure vibrant acidity with subtle nut brittle notes, perfectly balancing the sweetness acidity ratio.
