Barbeito Boal 1978 is a Madeira wine produced by Vinhos Barbeito from the Boal grape variety. The 1978 harvest, marked by moderate yields and long ripening, produced fruit of notable richness and acidity. Aged for decades in old oak casks under the traditional canteiro system, it shows aromas of caramelised orange peel, roasted nuts, dried fig and spice. The palate is medium-sweet yet balanced by vibrant acidity, with layers of toffee, citrus and salt-kissed minerality leading to a long, warming finish.
