Merchant's description

The Blandy family has played a leading role in the development of Madeira wine and continues to maintain a tradition of fine wine production that dates back two centuries. This is a rare release of single-harvest Madeira produced in 1968 from 100% Verdelho and bottled in 2009 with 98g/L residual sugar having matured for 41 years in seasoned American oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system. Mellow and rich, it is incredibly complex and intense with notes of orange zest, caramel, tar and spices, with a remarkably long, almost dry finish.
