In the exceptional 2005 vintage, the fruit achieved perfect phenolic ripeness, which was translated into a wine of immense depth and structural integrity. Maturation took place in high-quality French oak, adding layers of sweet spice and cedar to the dark fruit core of blackberry and plum. The profile is rich with liquorice and violets, supported by the firm tannins characteristic of the terres rouges soils.
