Merchant's description

Louis Jadot`s Chambertin-Clos de Bèze comes from one of Gevrey-Chambertin`s two finest grand cru vineyards, prized for structure and power alongside neighbouring Chambertin. The 2005 vintage was outstanding. low-yielding and intensely concentrated, producing wines built for the long haul. Dark cherry, liquorice and forest-floor aromas, firm tannins and real backbone. Still youthful and somewhat closed, this needs further time, especially in magnum. Best from 2028 onwards, ideally decanted, alongside roast game or mature Époisses.
