Merchant's description

Domaine Leflaive is unquestionably considered amongst the very finest producers of white Burgundy and their Bourgogne Blanc can often represent superb value for money, putting many more highly classified wines in their place. Sourced from a combination of old vines from “Les Houlières” and younger vines in “Les Parties” (both Puligny-Montrachet) it is fermented in mostly old oak casks and matured for 18 months before release. The 2018 vintage was superb, and this is generous and open-knit but has a excellent inward concentration, understated complexity and plenty of drive. A brilliant snapshot of the domaine style and quality that will enter its drinking window a little sooner than their other offerings.
