Merchant's description

The 2006 Château Cantemerle is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 9% Cabernet Franc. The nose is packed with red cherries, blackcurrants, vanilla and cocoa beans. The palate is smooth, with a core of plums and cherries. There is a seductive hint of smoke from new oak and some cedar forming the developed notes. Quite persistent on the finish, the wine is drinking perfectly well now.
