Merchant's description

Founded in 1959, Domaine William Fèvre has become a standard bearer for Chablis and is now one of the biggest landowners with 78 hectares of prestigious vineyards, including significant holdings in many Premiers Crus and in six of the seven Grands Crus. Vinification is very traditional with fermentation and maturation on fine lees undertaken in a combination of stainless and seasoned oak (ave. 6 years old). Côte Bouguerots is a lieu-dit within Grand Cru Bougros and the 2016 release is exceptional, offering incredibly intense fruit, deep mineral complexity and subtle floral perfume. Tensile and energetic, with bags of minerality and a finish that just keeps going, this should be even better with a few more years cellaring.
