Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. It is recommended to decant it for half an hour. Pasqua + Smith QuattroMani is a winemaking project born from the collaboration between Pasqua Vini, a prestigious family-run Venetian winery founded in 1925, and Charles Smith, a renowned American winemaker from Washington State. QuattroMani is a multi-vintage Pinot Noir. This blending technique of different vintages is the project's trademark, guaranteeing a wine with a distinct, complex, and harmonious personality and style. The grapes come from the Campiano vineyard, located in the province of Verona at approximately 600 meters above sea level in the San Giovanni Ilarione area. Here, the vines, planted with a low density, enjoy a southwest exposure and clay-limestone soils with some volcanic elements. The microclimate, characterized by refreshing breezes, favors slow and even ripening, resulting in a perfect balance between richness and acidity. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature for approximately 2-3 weeks. The finished wine ages partly in tonneaux and partly in barriques, before settling in stainless steel for a couple of months. Finally, the different vintages are blended and bottled. In the glass, the wine reveals a broad and complex aromatic profile with notes of blueberries and wild strawberries, interspersed with spicy hints of pepper and cardamom, and a few floral touches. On the palate, it is fresh and delicate, with well-balanced acidity and soft, perfectly integrated tannins. It is the ideal wine to pair with game birds and roast turkey.
