Château Chasse-Spleen is a renowned winery situated in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, just west of Margaux, which has consistently held the reputation as the premier estate in this appellation. Acquired by Jacques Merlaut in 1976, it has been under the stewardship of his granddaughter, Céline Villars, since 2000. The 2005 vintage represents a medium to full-bodied wine, impeccably balanced, featuring an abundance of invigorating eucalyptus nuances, complemented by vibrant yet mature berry flavours, along with hints of mocha, pepper, and leather.
