Currently owned by French entrepreneur Michel Reybier, Cos d`Estournel is the highly regarded wine producer situated in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Médoc. Most of its releases are high scorers among the critics, making it a particularly appealing wine for collectors and investors. This is the 1990 vintage of its Grand Vin, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. The wine is at its peak, delivering aromas of cigar box, mature dark fruit, shaved pencil and hints of mint and smoke. The palate is balanced and textured, with lovely beads of acidity.
