D`Armailhac 2000
D`Armailhac 2000 is a dry, very full-bodied red from Cabernet Sauvignon (Pauillac, France), in the full, structured reds style. Tannins are very firm and acidity fresh; oak influence is noticeable. Those scales describe the wine when young; this is a 26-year-old bottle and its tannin and oak will have softened. Good with steak, lamb, venison, cheese board.

D`Armailhac 2000 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Formerly known as Mouton d`Armailhac, Château d`Armailhac was designated as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification and is part of the broader portfolio of estates under Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Recent improvements in quality have elevated Château d`Armailhac`s status, and it is now considered one of the best-value wines in Pauillac. "This is lovely, with steeped currant, fig and blackberry fruit flavours that flow easily along with singed juniper, black tea and iron notes. At peak, but no rush, as the balance is there." Wine Spectator, 2016
