Deutz William Deutz 2009 is a vintage prestige-cuvée Champagne produced by Champagne Deutz in Aÿ, France. The historic Maison Deutz was founded in 1838 by two young entrepreneurs from Aix-la-Chapelle, Pierre-Hubert Geldermann and William Deutz. Cuvée William Deutz has been the flagship expression of the maison since it was first released commercially in 1961. Here available in half-bottle format, the 2009 vintage is an assemblage of 55% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier. The wine was disgorged in 2018. "The William Deutz 2009 is very much a bon viveur who is already giving plenty of immediate pleasure. Bright, youthful and balanced, it exhibits a delightful mélange of praline, honey, citrus, toast and dried fruits.
