Merchant's description

The Franz Haas Pinot Nero is a high-altitude expression of Pinot Noir from Alto Adige, with vines planted on highly heterogeneous terrain between 350 and 900 metres above sea level. The wine is vinified in open-top stainless steel tanks before maturing for one year in French barrique and further refining in bottle. The 2021 vintage showcases an aromatic spectrum of maraschino cherries, raspberries, plum jam and delicate notes of marzipan and forest floor. The palate is fresh, lively, and aromatic, structured by elegant tannins that ensure a round, inviting mouthfeel.
