The Aux Combottes vineyard is located directly south of the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, and it is the only Burgundy premier cru to be completely surrounded by grand crus. The clay-limestone soil here is light and gravelly, similar to that found in the neighbouring vineyards. This particular expression was produced by Odoul Coquard, a family-owned estate situated in Morey-Saint-Denis. Expect a deeply structured wine, filled with black and blue fruits, sweet spices and hints of dark chocolate.
