Enjoy it now or cellar for a few more years. No need to decant before serving. A shining bright yellow in colour, this South African white is bursting with notes of lemon zest, rocky minerality, and stone fruits, such as nectarine and peach. It is a textured wine, made of 100% Sauvignon Blanc harvested from 42 different parcels, growing on a combination of sandstone from the majestic Table Mountain, and granite. The Constantia estate is almost synonymous with the great Cape wines and has been referenced in literature written by numerous great authors, such as Jane Austen, Alexandre Dumas, and Charles Dickens. After a period of dormancy, the estate found a new lease of life in 1986 and has once again been recognised as one of the greatest wineries in the world, winning awards from Decanter and South Africa Report several years in a row. The Klein Constantia Sauvignon Blanc exhibits an intense range of flavours, from steely minerality to luscious tropical fruits. It is an elevated, top-class taste of the Cape, with a bright character and a long, thirst-quenching finish. Ideal for those who enjoy ripe citrus flavours, with subtle hints of herbs and minerality. Consider pairing this wine with summery salads, fish, or creamy cheese.
