Château La Conseillante is perhaps one of the unsung stars of Pomerol and, in excellent vintages, produces wines that can rival the very finest in the appellation. 2000 was widely regarded as a superb year and this is a wonderfully generous and mouth-filling wine. Yet for all its initial richness and power, it possesses delightful purity and elegance. A classic expression of the estate and appellation that will happily drink well now or continue to age for at least another decade.
