Domaine Georges Roumier is one of the longest-established estate bottling producers in the Côte D`Or. The Domaine was originally formed in 1924 by George Roumier who farmed his own vines in Chambolle-Musigny but also worked as vineyard manager for Comte Georges de Vogüé. Since 1992 the estate has been fully managed by the talented Christophe Roumier, the third-generation family winemaker. This particular cuvée comes from La Bussière, a Premier Cru in Morey-Saint-Denis which is a monopole of the Domaine. 1995 was a very good vintage for Burgundy, yielding high quality wines built for ageing.
