Merchant's description

Georges Roumier Morey-St-Denis Clos de la Bussière 1999 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Premier Cru climat of Clos de la Bussière in the Côte de Beaune. Georges Roumier is one of the longest-established estate bottling producers in the Côte D`Or. The Domaine was originally formed in 1924 by George Roumier who farmed his own vines in Chambolle-Musigny but also worked as vineyard manager for Comte Georges de Vogüé. Since 1992 the estate has been fully managed by the talented Christophe Roumier, the third-generation family winemaker. This particular cuvée comes from La Bussière, a Premier Cru in Morey-Saint-Denis which is a monopole of the domaine.
