Etienne Sauzet owns and manages vineyard plots in some of the most esteemed terroirs in Puligny-Montrachet and neighbouring appellations. The Domaine was founded in the early 20th century by Etienne Sauzet and has been managed by several generations of the Sauzet family. The portfolio includes this ‘Les Combettes’, a Premier Cru vineyard situated on the southern end of the Puligny-Montrachet commune. The 2010 growing season in Burgundy was characterized by favourable weather conditions, resulting in wines with great balance and complexity. The region experienced a cool summer with moderate temperatures, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and develop optimal flavours while retaining good acidity.
