Saint-Véran sits just south of Pouilly-Fuissé, and Château-Fuissé is about as authoritative a producer as you'll find anywhere in the Mâconnais. The wines were so impressive that we would go so far as to call this the ‘star appellation of the vintage’ - the first time we have said such a thing in our decades of tasting Burgundy from barrel. There was a fruit intensity married to a real tension that made the wines absolutely irresistible. "Bottled at the end of June. Fruit drawn from across the appellation, and as their only cuvée here, it brings together the best parcels. Greengage and subtle orchard fruit. They’re happy with the acidity, though another 0.5% wouldn’t have gone amiss. Crisp, friendly and easy to enjoy." 17-/20,Stewart Pryce, Honest Grapes Wine Club Manager Château-Fuissé is one of Tim Atkin's Top 15 Mâconnais Producers .
