Marchesi Antinori`s Solaia is made using the finest Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese grown on the sunniest part of the Tenuta Tignanello estate. The 2008 nose is ample and complex, full of fruity and varietal aromas ranging from black cherries to ripe red fruit. Complexity comes from notes of liquorice, coffee and toasted oak. On the palate the tannins are supple and balanced. The wine is savoury and mineral with sweet notes of cacao, vanilla and black and red berries which linger on the finish.
