Merchant's description

Château Troplong Mondot is amongst the finest producers in St-Émilion and earned the second-highest classification of Premier Grand Cru Classé (B) in 2006 after many years of consistently excellent releases. Having evaded much of the early season frosts, Troplong Mondot’s 2017 is another superb quality wine. A blend of 85% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is classically full-bodied, concentrated and sumptuously textured. It will need a little longer in the cellar but should evolve beautifully over the next 30-odd years.
