Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Founded by David Clouston, Two Rivers is a young winery in the Marlborough wine region of New Zealand, named after the Wairau and Awatere rivers, which play a key role in the area. The company produces innovative and highly successful wines, thanks to the great talent of its founder and winemaker David, who after years of research and work in Europe and the Americas, decided to return to his home country to continue the family farming tradition and create high-quality wines from the exceptional terroirs of Marlborough. The organically grown Pinot Noir grapes come from the slopes of the Brookby Hill vineyard in South Marlborough on loess and clay soils. After hand-harvesting, fermentation occurs spontaneously and the finished wine is aged for 11 months in large French oak barrels. The Tributary Pinot Noir reveals an intense and fruity aromatic profile with delicious notes of small red fruits, plum, and cherry, hints of forest floor and tobacco. On the palate, it has a medium body and a well-balanced acidity. It is concentrated and deep with velvety tannins and a fruity finish. Try it with duck or lamb.
