Alzero Quintarelli 1993 is a Valpolicella blend produced in Veneto, northern Italy. Giuseppe Quintarelli utilised the appassimento method to air-dry Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes for several months before fermentation. This process concentrates sugars and flavours, resulting in a wine of depth and complexity. Ten years of ageing in large Slavonian oak barrels preceded its release, ensuring the structural components integrated with the intense fruit profile. Terroir of the Negrar hills provides the limestone soils necessary for maintaining acidity alongside high levels of concentration.
