The world-famous Château Lafite Rothschild was rated as a First Growth under the 1855 Bordeaux Classification and has been in the Rothschild family since 1868. The second wine Carruades de Lafite presents similar characteristics to the Grand Vin, but with its own profile linked to a higher proportion of Merlot. Bordeaux 1988 is an excellent and full-bodied vintage, offering wines with loads of concentrated fruit, structure and colour.
