Merchant's description

Chambolle-Musigny Les Chatelots Ghislaine Barthod 2009 is a Premier Cru red Burgundy made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. The vineyard spans approximately 0.32 hectares on well-drained clay-limestone soils, which assist in developing the wine’s structure and complexity. Ghislaine Barthod, a respected figure in Burgundy, practices traditional winemaking techniques, employing fermentation in concrete and stainless steel vats along with selective destemming. The wine is aged in oak barrels for around 18 months, with a portion being new oak. The 2009 vintage reflects a warm growing season, producing wines known for their ripe fruit and subtle earthy notes.
