Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded in 1999 by the inimitable Jean-Claude Basset. With holdings in some of the most prestigious appellations of Burgundy, viticulture and winemaking is meticulous and is both fully organic and biodynamic certified. The domaine’s elegant and well-defined 2016 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru was sourced from two parcels of old vines and was fermented with 53% whole bunches with maturation for 16 months in French oak, 35% of which was new.
