Based in the village of Premeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie is a Burgundy wine producer owned by the influential Boisset family. It is one of the newest estates in the region, with the first vintage being 1999. This Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru comes from two plots within the vineyard with a total surface area of 1.052 hectares. The 2020 vintage was one of the earliest harvests on record in Burgundy and these Pinot Noir grapes were picked from 24th August until 1st September. Aged for 16 months in oak barrels [28% new], the wine is still very young, showing a floral character with a combination of purple fruit, earth and anise. One for the cellar.
