Merchant's description

Crafted from the traditional Spanish Palomino grape variety, this wine originates from the Brakkuil farm, where the vines were planted in 1978. Nestled at the base of ‘Klein Tafelberg’ (Small Table Mountain), the vineyard features limestone-rich coastal soil, which significantly contributes to the wine`s subtle sea salt minerality. Upon harvesting, the grapes are pressed, and their juice is placed into tanks to undergo primary fermentation. Once completed, the young wine is transferred to French Oak barrels, where it matures under its natural veil. This process offers a uniquely South African twist on the classic Sherry grape.
