Château Montrose is a Second Growth wine producer situated in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, the northernmost of the Médoc communes. The 2001 vintage reveals aromas of red fruit, leather, and cedar, best appreciated after a brief decant. The palate is nicely integrated, showcasing red and cassis fruits, complemented by a robust structure. Secondary flavours of earth, cedar, and spice add complexity.
