Château Pavie is one of the leading producers of Saint-Émilion covering approximately 37 hectares under vine. In 2012 the property was upgraded to the first rank of the Classification of Saint-Émilion as a Premier Grand Cru Classé [A], a position that it managed to hold in 2022. This release is from the 2009 vintage, a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 80% new oak. It is a full-bodied, opulent wine, with layered fruit and firm tannic structure. Absolutely superb.
