Merchant's description

Unquestionably Californian winemaking royalty, Ridge Vineyards continue to produce sensational wines of exceptional quality and remarkable longevity. From the Monte Bello estate vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the 2016 release is superb. Composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 65% Cabernet Franc, it is jam-packed with notes of black fruits, dried flowers, tobacco, woody spices and graphite minerality. Full-bodied and firmly textured, it has youthful appeal but will require several years cellaring to unleash its undoubted potential.
