Château Ausone, situated in Saint-Émilion, enjoys a stellar reputation for crafting some of the best red wines within the appellation and the broader region. In recent years, Alain Vauthier has overseen significant advancements at Ausone, assuming complete responsibility for winemaking and property management at his family`s estate. The 2010 vintage is a blend composed of 55% Cabernet Franc and 45% Merlot, aged in new oak barrels for 20 months. Despite an exceptionally dry growing season that presented its share of challenges, this vintage ultimately yielded greatness.
