Leoville Las Cases 2005
Leoville Las Cases 2005 is a dry, very full-bodied red from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc (Saint-Julien, France), in the full, structured reds style. Tannins are very firm and acidity fresh; oak influence is noticeable. Those scales describe the wine when young; this is a 21-year-old bottle and its tannin and oak will have softened. Good with steak, lamb, roast chicken, roast pork.
