The 2001 Tignanello is a perfect example of how Cabernet Sauvignon can blend with Sangiovese, allowing the two varieties to balance and enhance one another in a magnificent symbiosis. Deep ruby red in colour, the wine is focused on plum and cassis fruit, with an additional layer of sweet herbs and saddle leather. The palate has volume, roundness, and depth. The wine can be enjoyed now but still has good aging potential.
