Merchant's description

An Antinori family icon, Tignanello is a pre-eminent Supertuscan red wine produced principally from Sangiovese. While technically a wine rather than a winery, Marchesi Antinori`s flagship red wine, Tignanello, has become one of Italy’s most recognised and celebrated fine wines. A blend of mostly Sangiovese with lesser parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Tignanello is produced from a single vineyard in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the gently rolling hillsides between the Greve and Pesa river valleys. "Still very deep in colour, this has a super-ripe cherry nose with no jamminess and some cedar tones. The fruit is seductive, with plum and cedar notes, ample acidity and tension, and a long, chocolatey finish. It may not have the flair of the 2010, but it`s approachable while not lacking in structure." Decanter, 2019
