An Antinori family icon, Tignanello is a pre-eminent Supertuscan red wine produced principally from Sangiovese. While technically a wine rather than a winery, Marchesi Antinori`s flagship red wine, Tignanello, has become one of Italy’s most recognised and celebrated fine wines. A blend of mostly Sangiovese with lesser parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Tignanello is produced from a single vineyard in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the gently rolling hillsides between the Greve and Pesa river valleys. The wine presents aromas of dark berries, earthy notes, and subtle spices. The palate reveals structured tannins and balanced acidity.
