Merchant's description
Château Branaire-Ducru is a 4ème Cru Classé estate situated on the opposite side of the road from Château Beychevelle in the south of the St-Julien appellation. The 1989 vintage was described by Robert Parker`s Wine Advocate as follows, ` This flashy wine exhibits sweet raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with some lead pencil, cedar, chocolate, and new oak. The wine is medium-bodied, supple-textured, and luscious.`
